Phil Veatch, PA-C
Certified Physician Assistant | Sports Medicine Specialist
Phil Veatch, PA-C, is a highly experienced and innovative certified physician assistant specializing in sports medicine and regenerative therapies. With a dedication to advancing patient care, Phil has built a career centered around improving outcomes and helping patients avoid surgery and lifestyle-limiting conditions.
Phil completed his undergraduate degree in Exercise Science at Eastern Washington University and graduated from the AT Still University PA program in Mesa, AZ, in 2015. Following his formal education, he underwent post-graduate training at the Core Institute, specializing in orthopedic and spine surgery, where he honed his skills in managing complex musculoskeletal conditions.
After training, Phil spent two years working full-time in emergency medicine, gaining invaluable experience in acute care. His passion for sports medicine led him to transition to BackFit Health and Spine, where he became the leader of the medical side of the clinic. At BackFit, Phil introduced cutting-edge treatments to patients and played a pivotal role in redesigning therapy protocols, which have since been adopted nationwide across BackFit clinics.
In 2020, Phil founded Optimize You, a sports and regenerative medicine clinic, where he combined physical medicine, regenerative therapies, and alternative treatments like ketamine and peptides to achieve groundbreaking results for his patients. Two years later, he launched Arizona Sports Medicine with the mission to continue providing advanced, non-surgical treatment options tailored to athletes and active individuals.
Phil’s expertise extends beyond patient care. He collaborates with practices across the Phoenix area, training providers in musculoskeletal ultrasound, PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma), A2M (Alpha-2-Macroglobulin) extraction and dosing protocols, and ketamine-assisted physical therapy.
A professional paintball player himself, Phil understands the unique demands of athletes and serves as the primary medical provider for the Seattle Uprising Professional Paintball Team. He also treats numerous professional athletes, bringing a firsthand perspective to his practice.
Outside of medicine, Phil is a proud father of two and an avid sports enthusiast, participating in a variety of athletic activities. His combination of clinical expertise, personal experience, and innovative care makes him a trusted partner in helping patients optimize their performance and recovery
